When standing at the threshold of university, Ngoc Han proactively researched the training programs of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Food Technology at Nong Lam University Ho Chi Minh City. The stories from previous students about a rigorous learning environment that demands perseverance inspired her to set her aspirations on the Advanced Program in Food Technology—a program taught entirely in English with a clear orientation toward the field of Food Technology. Advanced programs were implemented by the Ministry of Education and Training in 2008, and the Advanced Program in Food Technology is one of the 35 programs launched during the first 10 years to foster international integration, with the University of California, Davis, USA, as the partner institution.
Throughout her studies, she consistently maintained stable academic performance and received academic encouragement scholarships multiple times. With outstanding achievements in both academics and social activities, she was nominated and received approval from the partner university to participate in an international student exchange program in Hungary in 2021. In 2022, she continued to join an exchange program in Taiwan as one of the top 10 excellent students recommended by the Faculty.
Subsequently, she enthusiastically and actively participated in specialized academic competitions and the English Club, achieving the following awards: First Prize in the "I Love Chemical and Food Technology" competition (2023); Second Prize in the Idea Pitching Competition – International Agroindustry Competition 2023, organized by IPB University, Indonesia; Second Prize in the Product Development Competition 2023 – Theme: Food and Functional Foods; and Consolation Prize in the Product Development Competition 2024 – Theme: Seaweed and Algae.
In 2025, the "golden girl"—Ngoc Han—graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors, achieving a GPA of 3.91/4.0, and has applied much of her acquired knowledge to her practical work.
