Dear Esteemed Faculty Members, and Alumni,

Over nearly 30 years of formation and development, the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology has been built through the dedication, intellect, and deep professional devotion of generations of lecturers. For every learner, the lectures, guidance, loving strictness, and the quiet sacrifices behind the lectern have always remained a source of support and a precious foundation for life’s journey. We are forever grateful, especially to our former lecturers, those who devoted their youth to sowing seeds of knowledge and nurturing character for countless cohorts of students and trainees as they grew into maturity.

Throughout this journey, the Faculty has steadfastly upheld the spirit of “Uniting Knowledge – Spreading Value” as a constant reminder of the power of connection, sharing, and service to the community.

In celebration of the Faculty’s 30th anniversary, on behalf of the Faculty Executive Board, we respectfully announce the establishment of the “Companion Fund for Retired Faculty Members of the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology” This Fund is created with the sincere and practical wish to contribute, even in a small way, to express gratitude, share support, and stand alongside our retired lecturers whenever assistance is needed. More than a financial fund, it is a heartfelt message from generations of learners: no matter how far we may go, we will always remember our teachers and our shared home—the Faculty.

The Fund was initiated by Mr. Tran Van Thieng (Alumnus, Cohort 1, 1996 - 2001) with an initial contribution of VND 300,000,000, together with the valued support of Ms. Le Thi An (Alumna, Cohort 1, 1996 - 2001) through a sponsorship of VND 20,000,000. The entire amount will be placed in a savings account, and the interest generated will be used to support retired lecturers in necessary circumstances, true to the spirit of gratitude and remembrance, and to the moral duty of learners toward their teachers.

Over the years, alongside the annual Companion and Development Fund, our former lecturers, former trainees, and alumni have consistently contributed to initiatives that support students in difficult circumstances and provide encouragement scholarships. The Faculty has also been fortunate to receive the partnership of many generous benefactors. These contributions have created a warm and enduring bond among generations, a deeply humane cultural hallmark of our Faculty.

While the Companion Fund for Retired Faculty Members is still modest today, it marks a hopeful beginning. We respectfully call upon our former trainees, alumni, and benefactors to continue contributing, so that the Fund may grow stronger, transforming gratitude into timely, concrete, and heartfelt support for our teachers, in the spirit of “Uniting Knowledge – Spreading Value.”

Regarding governance, the Dean, the Chair of the Faculty Trade Union, and Mr. Tran Van Thieng (alumni representative) will be responsible for managing the Fund, ensuring it is used for the intended purposes with openness and transparency.
