Project "Female Functional Food Entrepreneurship” was organized by the Faculty of Food Technology, Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City, and Institute of Technology Galway-Mayo, Ireland, approved by Irish Embassy in Vietnam and funded by Vietnam Ireland Bilateral Education Exchange (VIBE) Programme in 2018. The target of the project is to enhance the role of women in food business; increase the application of digital technology in education; design outline, training program on functional food and strengthen research corporation in the field of food technology.
After a year of operation, on July 1, 2020, Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City, Faculty of Food Technology and Institute of Technology Galway-Mayo, Ireland, had a nice signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). With the participation of Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan - vice principle of Nong Lam University, Dr. Lisa Ryan – Head of Department of Natural Sciences of Institute of Technology Galway-Mayo, and other project members, MOU signed a bilateral agreement between the two units on cooperation with with each other to form strategic and beneficial relationships to establish educational programs including: Advanced undergraduate and graduate programs; Curriculum development project; Online delivery pilot program; Organizing general conferences / symposiums; Student and staff exchange program; Co-training for students; Technology exchange program; Co- research and develope program; and partnerships in Food Science & Technology and Business.
